Event Information:
On February 24, Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-IL) reintroduced STURDY, the Stop Tip-overs of Unstable, Risky Dressers on Youth Act. The Congresswoman’s press release on the action included six references to passing the legislation “quickly” or “without delay.” AHFA members who produce or market bedroom furniture should waste no time familiarizing themselves with the proposed requirements within this Act.
To review STURDY’s key provisions and the potential impact on our industry, AHFA has invited Matt Howsare, chair of Cooley LLP’s North American product safety practice, and Chris Andresen, senior vice president at Dutko Government Relations, to present “What You Need to Know About the STURDY Act of 2021” on Wednesday, March 31.
The webinar is free to AHFA members and will begin at 2 p.m. Eastern Time.
