Suppliers Division
Home Page
Added to AHFA Website

The Suppliers Division now has its own home page on the AHFA website, www.ahfa.us. One click on the words “Suppliers Division” on the right-hand side of the AHFA home page takes members and prospective members directly to the new area, which has been customized to serve the information needs of supplier companies.

The Suppliers Division logo sits atop a tool bar providing quick links to membership requirements, discount programs, supplier events, publications, and other Supplier Division resources. The “Events” column features a link to the International Woodworking and Machinery Supply Fair website.

Any Supplier Division members with suggestions for improving the Supplier Division page are invited to contact Patricia Bowling, Director of Communications, at 336/884-5000, ext. 106, or pbowling@ahfa.us.

New Poster Invites
Scholarship Applications

A new color poster advertising details of the Suppliers Division scholarship program will be mailed to all member companies this fall.

The poster invites company employees to request applications and eligibility requirements for Suppliers Division scholarships. Although information on the program will still be available from company HR directors, the new posters also direct interested applicants to the AHFA website, www.ahfa.us, to download program details.

Since the first scholarships were awarded in 2000, the Suppliers Division Scholarship Fund has helped 28 students enter or continue their education at colleges and universities all across America. The fund now provides at least six $2,000 scholarships each year to the children of AHFA-member company employees. The awards go to students age 21 or under who are enrolled or planning to enroll full-time in a two- or four-year college, university or approved vocational/technical school.

Applications are now being accepted for the 2006 scholarships. The deadline for application is January 31, 2006.

The scholarship fund is augmented each year by the Suppliers Division Golf Tournament, which this year raised more than $15,000.
