Suppliers Division Hosts Golf Tournament

More than 130 golfers turned out on June 1 for the 14th Annual Golf Tournament hosted by AFMA’s Suppliers Division.

The event, held at Rock Barn Golf Course in Conover, N.C., raised money for the Suppliers Division Scholarship Fund, which presents six, $2,000 scholarships to children of regular, full-time employees of AFMA member companies each year. The scholarship committee reviewed over 300 applications before naming the 2004 recipients.

This year’s winners are:

  • Brian Adams, son of Rebecca Adams, American Drew, North Wilkesboro, N.C.;
  • Crystal Bryson, daughter of Pamela Bryson, Stanley Furniture, Robbinsville, N.C.;

  • Michael Crunk, son of Donna Crunk, Rowe Furniture, Poplar Bluff, Mo.; and,
  • Noy Sangkhavilode, daughter of Khamphud Sangkhavilode of SI Corporation, Lafayette, Ga.

The one-year scholarships are based on financial need and merit of the student. They are awarded to students age 21 or under who are enrolled in or planning to enroll in a four-year college or university, a junior or community college, or a vocational or technical school.
