MicroD announces the release of ePreVue-5, the online furniture visualization service for the Internet. This new version of ePreVue is written in Microsoft .Net technology, boasts faster rendering speeds and presents more fabric choices on the same page. It also enables the user to see fabric details by simply hovering the cursor over the image stamp. In addition, new draping functionality allows users to click on a specific area of a frame to render just that individual item. Retailers and manufacturers can customize the look and feel of the displayed page so that ePreVue-5 blends seamlessly with their existing website. Retailers also can customize the program to display only the products they sell. MicroD offers a suite of integrated Internet and desktop-based software products and service solutions known as Full Circle. These solutions range from electronic catalogs, furniture visualization products and room planning software to Internet-based business-to-business communications software and services for a wide range of companies in the furniture, trucking and other industries.

Delmac Machinery Group has introduced a variety of new products for the residential furniture industry. The Progress Single End Tenoner by Celaschi with patented high speed and high capacity tool changer is designed for mid to large size manufacturers of raised panel doors. The tool change time is under 20 seconds for five tools, plus each carousel holds 20 tools. The new JET Plus XXL is Busellato’s top of the line machining center. The machine has hundreds of configuration possibilities, including double electrospindles, each with head mounted tool changers, several boring head choices and a five-axis machining head with continuous C-axis rotation. Also from Busellato is the new FLEXA 203, a mid-range edgebander designed especially for medium to large companies that specialize in furniture, store fixtures, closets and components. It is specifically suited for edgebanding thin tape (2/3mm PCV, ½ solid wood). For the furniture and RTA market, Delmac announces the new OMAL HBD 1550 CNC hardware inserter. This machine has a four zone, 5-foot working table that can process up to a 10-foot long part. It is equipped with OMAL’s “sure shot” revolver bore, glue, dowel system plus Saw Groover and two Hardware Inserters – RAFIX and MINIFIX. The numerically controlled machine will complete all boring, doweling, grooving and hardware insertion on RTA furniture and drawer parts with CNC accuracy and flexibility. Finally, the Fravol VSB Edgebanding machine, used for straight, round or contoured panels, is introduced for edging both thin tape veneers and melamine along with 3mm PVC/ABS. The machine features a patented work surface that allows the banding to overhang the bottom edge of the panel for trimming, without the use of awkward and time-consuming fixture boards or blocks.
