Buster Mann

Buster Mann, Hickory Springs Manufacturing Co., Hickory, N.C., has been elected 2007 president of AHFA’s Suppliers Division.

Trela Hendrix, Supreme Foam, is first vice president, and Randy Ford, Leggett & Platt, Carthage, Mo., is second vice president.

Bill Richardson

Bill Richardson of Blue Ridge Solvents & Coatings, Henry, Va., moves to chairman of the Suppliers Division Board of Directors.

Completing their three-year terms on the division’s board in 2007 are Howard Armistead, Mann, Armistead & Epperson, Richmond, Va.; and Edwin Messer, Valspar Corporation, High Point, N.C.

Serving their second year on the board in 2007 are Dan Fouratt, Hi-Tex Inc., West Bloomfield, Mich.; Jack Hicks, Womble Carlyle Sandridge & Rice, Greensboro, N.C.; Ben Keller, MGM Transport, High Point, N.C.; Jim McClellan, Franklin Adhesives, Columbus, Ohio; and Eddie Wilson, Snyder Paper Corporation, Hickory, N.C.

Joining (or rejoining) the board for a three-year term are Audie Cashion, Alpha World Properties, High Point, N.C.; Ron Cooper, Akzo Nobel Coatings, High Point, N.C.; Brooks Gearhart, Expeditors International Inc., Charlotte, N.C.; Lanny Jarrell, Wright of Thomasville, Thomasville, N.C.; and Bill Morgan, Foamex International, Tupelo, Miss.

A top-rated business program, unparalleled networking opportunities and a gala dinner dance honoring the 2006 Distinguished Service Award recipient, Jerome Bolick of Southern Furniture, were among highlights of the 2006 Annual Meeting enjoyed by Supplier Division executives in November.

Companies are urged to mark their new 2007 calendars now with dates for the 2007 Annual Meeting. The November 8-10 event will take place in Charleston, S.C., and will be AHFA’s pinnacle event of the year for manufacturer and supplier members alike.
