January 31 is Scholarship Application DeadlineJanuary 31 is the deadline for children of full-time, AHFA member company employees to submit applications for the Suppliers Division Scholarship. Six $2,000 scholarships will be awarded for the 2007-2008 academic year. Applicants must be age 21 or younger and enrolled or planning to enroll full-time in a two- or four-year college, university or approved vocational/technical school. The program is open to all manufacturer members, as well as all Supplier Division members. It is funded through an annual golf tournament sponsored by the Suppliers Division. Suppliers Set Date for 2007 Golf TournamentAHFA’s Suppliers Division will hold its 17th Annual Scholarship Golf Tournament June 5 at Rock Barn Golf Course in Conover, N.C. The tournament raises money for the Suppliers Division Scholarship Fund, which presents six, $2,000 scholarships to children of regular full-time employees of AHFA member companies each year. More than 130 golfers turned out for the 2006 tournament, also held at Rock Barn. Thanks to the generous support of more than two dozen sponsor companies, along with the participating golfers, the 2006 event raised over $18,000 for the scholarship fund.
