Taylor King, a high-end furniture manufacturer based in Taylorsville, N.C., is now using Pluralux™ seatbases by Barnhardt Manufacturing in all tight seat upholstery products where eight-way hand-tied coils are not applicable. Many of Taylor King’s exposed wood accent chairs and sofas have a limited cavity for coil springs. Because Pluralux™ foam can be made to any size or thickness, it can conform to any size space. Most importantly, says Tyalor King president Del Starnes, is that the Pluralux™ technology brings together supreme comfort and durability. Pluralux™ is also the interior core of a new premium seat cushion option at Taylor King. The foam will be combined with viscoelastic foam and a blend-down jacket. Pluralux™ is a multi-use foam currently being used as a cushion core and in mattress applications as a replacement for latex. Snyder’s Industrial Division offers products to meet customers’ packaging and industrial needs, while its Furniture Cushion Division offers three cushion constructions for durability and cost savings. The PermaCrown cushion provides a plush, high crown that is comfortable and affordable without most of the polyester fiber that can break down over time. The FeatherLite construction incorporates the PermaCrown cushion in a foam down or spring down construction that is more affordable than conventional down cushions. The PermaLux back construction is made using a combination of high technology foam and thermally bonded fibers. The PermaLux back provides a visually inviting crown and holds up better than a blown fiber back. www.snyderpaper.com
