Annual Scholarship Golf Tournament

AHFA’s Suppliers Division will hold its 16th Annual Scholarship Golf Tournament June 6 at Rock Barn Golf Course in Conover, N.C.

The event generates funding for six $2,000 scholarships that are presented each year to the children of AHFA-member company employees. The awards go to students age 21 or under who are enrolled or planning to enroll full-time in a two- or four-year college, university or approved vocational/technical school.

Tee-off time for the shotgun/scramble (captain’s choice) tournament is 1 p.m. Lunch will be available prior to tee-off, refreshments are available during play, and a cocktail reception and awards ceremony conclude the event.

Cost is $500 for each foursome, or $125 per player. The deadline for team sign-up is May 31. Online team registration is available here.

Sponsorship opportunities are available and could potentially increase the number of 2006 scholarships awarded. A $2,500 “Platinum” sponsorship includes eight players in the tournament (two teams); a $1,500 “Gold” sponsorship includes four players in the tournament; a $1,000 “Silver” sponsorship includes two players in the tournament; and a $500 “Bronze” sponsorship includes one player in the tournament. Sponsors at all four levels also receive a hole sponsorship and their company name on a sponsorship banner. All sponsoring companies will be recognized in Furniture Executive, as well as in other publicity surrounding the tournament.

Since the first scholarships were awarded in 2000, the Suppliers Division Scholarship Fund has helped 28 students enter or continue their education at colleges and universities all across America.
