FurnishNet continues to expand its electronic document exchange services, adding 34 more manufacturers in recent months. Over 525 manufacturers are now connected to FurnishNet, which allows them to electronically exchange transactions with their trading partners using an Internet-based solution. The system speeds order processing, helps eliminate errors, reduces manual labor and shortens the delivery cycle. FurnishNet also offers a web-based parts management service. Fifteen companies recently converted their parts ordering processing to the FurnishNet system, bringing the total number of manufacturers on the system to 97. www.furnishnet.com.

The U.S. Customs and Border Protection agency recently recognized Globe Express Services for exemplary compliance in the Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) program. The CBP Validation Team visited Globe’s U.S. headquarters in Charlotte, N.C., last spring to evaluate overall and procedural C-TPAT effectiveness. The final report noted that Globe demonstrated “effective security measures within its organization as well as a dedication to working with others to strengthen overall supply chain security.” As one of the first freight forwarders and custom house brokers to voluntarily participate in the C-TPAT program, Globe remains committed to meeting CBP’s security requirements and helping its customers to do the same. www.globeexpress.com
