Attention AFMA Supplier Members!

As a member of AFMA’s Supplier Division, have you ever wondered which AFMA meetings you are invited to attend? The answer is, all of them!

All Supplier Division members are urged to attend the July 15-17 annual meeting in Myrtle Beach, S.C., which is being held in conjunction with the annual meetings for manufacturing executives in the transportation, purchasing and information technology areas.

However, some companies within the Suppliers Division may find other meetings on the summer agenda that suit their information and networking needs. Financial services and marketing companies, for example, will want to mark their calendars for the July 29-31 meeting at the Crowne Plaza Resort in Hilton Head, S.C. This meeting will offer informative sessions for marketing and public relations professionals concurrent with sessions designed for financial executives. The two groups will have several opportunities to enjoy networking and social events together.

Environmental services companies and those supplying products or services in the human resources or safety areas should make the September 20-24 conference-expo at the Renaissance Suites Hotel in Charlotte a priority. This event will offer three highly specialized tracks for professionals in the environmental, HR and safety areas, as well as three informative keynote sessions for all attendees. It also is the only AFMA meeting that offers suppliers the opportunity to participate in a full-scale expo designed to spotlight their products and services.

These meetings provide suppliers with occasions to network with special groups of manufacturing executives – often the ones directly responsible for using the supplier’s products or services. The association’s Annual Meeting, on the other hand, offers suppliers the opportunity to interact with top executives of manufacturing companies. Always the premier event of the year, the Annual Meeting will be November 4-6 at The Cloister at Sea Island, Ga.

All supplier companies also are invited to attend AFMA’s annual Economic Outlook Conference December 2 at the Ballantyne Resort Hotel in Charlotte, N.C. The conference features both industry and economic outlooks from leading business consultants and analysts.

Plan Now for 2004 IWF
