HIGH POINT, N.C. – Ralph Scozzafava, chairman and CEO of Furniture Brands International, headquartered in St. Louis, Mo., was elected 2012 chairman of the American Home Furnishings Alliance (AHFA) Board of Directors during the group's 2011 Annual Meeting in La Jolla, Calif., November 10-12.

Wyatt Bassett, president/CEO of Vaughan-Bassett, Galax, Va., moves to first vice chairman, and George Revington, CEO of Home Meridian International, High Point, N.C., was elected second vice chairman.

Bob Duncan, CEO of American Leather, Dallas, now moves to immediate past-chairman of the Board of Directors. All of the new officers will take their posts on January 1, 2012.

Executives newly elected to three-year terms on the Board of Directors include: Alan Cole, Hooker Furniture, Martinsville, Va.; Richard Magnussen, Magnussen Home Furnishings, Ontario, Canada; Bill Markowitz, The Veneman Group, Garden Grove, Calif.; Kevin Sauder, Sauder Woodworking, Archbold, Ohio; Eric Schenk, Century Furniture, Hickory, N.C.; Ed Teplitz, Thomasville Furniture, Thomasville, N.C.; and Roy Calcagne, Craftmaster Furniture, Taylorsville, N.C.
