Made In Catawba Jobs Website
AHFA’s Solution Partners division launched www.myfurniturecareer.com in October 2015 to help generate workers for hundreds of available manufacturing positions in the Catawba County area of North Carolina. The shortage of skilled workers in the upholstered furniture industry is acute, with hundreds of additional workers retiring every year. In addition to helping companies find viable job candidates, the website is designed to promote home furnishings manufacturing as a reliable and rewarding career choice for high school students and graduates, returning military and those who are currently employed but looking for more stable work with an opportunity for benefits and salary growth. The online toolbox for HR directors includes website posters, sample response forms for job applicants, links to sample career pages for corporate websites and more.
