Letter from the Chairman > |
FURNPAC The passage of a single new federal law or regulation can have a greater impact on the future of the home furnishings industry than most decisions made by the AHFA leadership. To protect the industry's interests in Washington, we need federal legislators who understand the complexities of furniture manufacturing, and who are willing to carefully weigh the costs of taxes and regulations against their purported benefits. That's where FurnPAC comes in!
FurnPAC is the furniture industry's principal political action committee (PAC) and is an important part of AHFA’s efforts to create a business-friendly atmosphere on Capitol Hill. Through voluntary contributions from AHFA members, FurnPAC contributes to pro-business, smaller-government candidates for the U.S. House of Representatives and Senate incumbents and challengers alike who understand the needs of furniture manufacturers and their suppliers.
FurnPAC is bipartisan, and is governed by a Board of Directors representing small, medium, and large AHFA companies and suppliers.
