Pandemic Influenza Checklist
In the event of pandemic influenza, businesses will be expected to play a key role in protecting employees' health and safety, according to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). The government also expects businesses to help limit the negative impact of a flu outbreak on the the economy. To help companies prepare for this role, DHHS and the Centers for Disease Control have developed a checklist for large businesses. It identifies important steps companies can take now, many of which could also help in other types of emergencies. Further information can be found at www.pandemicflu.gov and www.cdc.gov/business.
