February 28, 2018 – HIGH POINT, N.C. — Consumers outfitting their outdoor spaces in 2018 don’t need to stop with the furniture. They can select from a growing variety of accent pieces that will make their outdoor rooms just as beautiful as any indoor space.

“There’s really no limit to accent items available for outdoors now,” said Jackie Hirschhaut, vice president of the American Home Furnishings Alliance and executive director of its outdoor division, the International Casual Furnishings Association. “We have lamps, pillows, decorative tables, rugs, candleholders and pretty much anything that would go in an indoor setting. Consumers can personalize their outdoor settings just as they would indoors.”

Hirschhaut added that many of today’s outdoor items are so beautiful and durable that some consumers are selecting them for indoor use, especially pillows and rugs, because of how well they hold up to everyday use.
