The American Home Furnishings Alliance is the world's largest and most influential trade organization serving the home furnishings industry. AHFA is dedicated to fostering the growth and global well being of its member companies.

Our Purpose

Since 1905, AHFA and its predecessor organizations have disseminated the most up-to-date management, manufacturing and technical information to member companies and acted as a watchdog against burdensome regulatory requirements and government intervention.

Recently, member companies approved new initiatives intended to broaden the scope of the organization. The name was changed to the American Home Furnishings Alliance (from the American Furniture Manufacturers Association) and membership was opened to a broader cross-section of the industry. Alliances are based on common interests, and our member companies share a profound interest in:

• Promoting industry UNITY – creating powerful partnerships capable of impacting consumers and influencing the outcome of industry issues;
• Gaining ACCESS to valuable resources and money-saving services that give their companies a competitive advantage in our rapidly changing industry; and,
• Supporting an organization with INFLUENCE over regulations and standards that impact the manufacturing, sales or marketing of home furnishings products in the United States.

Our purpose is to deliver targeted programs and services addressing these three broad common interests shared by all member companies.

Membership Eligibility

Corporate membership is available to any business entity incorporated in the United States and engaged directly in the manufacturing or importing of home furnishings products for wholesale distribution in the United States. Application >

Membership in the International Casual Furnishings Association, a division of AHFA, is available to any business entity incorporated in the United States and engaged directly in the manufacturing or importing of outdoor or casual home furnishings products for wholesale distribution in the United States. Membership in the Suppliers Division of the AHFA is available to persons, firms and corporations that supply products or services to the home furnishings industry. Application >
